Swedish Massage: |
|
This style of massage features slow nurturing
strokes which evoke a healing state. This is full-body stress
management massage.

Deep Tissue Massage: |
|
This style of stroke is slow, deeper,
and helps to loosen tight areas.

Pregnancy Massage: |
|
A soothing relaxing Swedish style massage
is helpful throughout pregnancy if there is no history of
miscarriage. The second and third trimester are suggested
if there has been difficulty with past pregnancy. Deeper
strokes may be used in the later months to ease back pain
and muscle cramps in legs. Pillows are used to prop the
client and make the massage comforting nurturing experience
for mother and child. If there is toxemia present then no
massage is suggested. During the first trimester a doctor's
okay is preferred.

Reflexology: |

Massage performed on the feet and or hands
exclusively is called reflexology. Points on both the hands
and feet correspond with the organs in the body to work
more efficiently and encourage pain relief without actually
touching the painful site elsewhere on the body. The foot
and/or hand massage is quite relaxing and soothing itself.
